The new West End production of Hello, Dolly! starring Imedla Staunton has been postponed.
The show that was set to open at The Adelphi Theatre in August, still plans to run, but with “new season details and all further information to be announced at a later date”.
The Jerry Herman (La Cage aux Folles) and Michael Stewart (42nd Street)’s musical follows Dolly Levi, a socialite and matchmaker, who tries to find love for herself and everyone she knows.
It’s based on Thornton Wilder’s The Matchmaker, and includes musical theatre standards “Before the Parade Passes By”, “It Only Takes a Moment” and “Hello, Dolly!”.
The show was also set to star West End favourites Jenna Russell, Tyrone Huntley, Clare Halse and Andy Nyman.
