Cast has been announced for Moulin Rouge! The Musical in the West End, featuring a host of newcomers and Olivier Award-winners.
The smash-hit production, based on Baz Luhrmann’s revolutionary film, is set to begin performances at the Piccadilly Theatre from 12 November.
Liisi LaFontaine (Dreamgirls) is set to star as Satine, the sparkling diamond at the heart of the Moulin Rouge, and Jamie Bogyo will make his West End debut as aspiring writer Christian.
Further cast includes Clive Carter (Into the Woods, Come From Away) as Moulin Rouge impresario Harold Zidler, Simon Bailey (Heathers, Jersey Boys) as The Duke, Jason Pennycooke (Olivier Award-nominee for Hamilton) and Elia Lo Tauro (On Your Feet, Carousel) as the Bohemians Toulouse-Lautrec and Santiago.
Lady Ms will be played by Sophie Carmen Jones (Chicago, Jersey Boys) as Nini, Zoe Birkett (Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Hair) as Arabia, Jonathan Bishop (Hamilton, In the Heights) as Baby Doll and Timmika Ramsay (Cinderella, Madagascar) as La Chocolat.

The production is directed by Alex Timbers, with a book by John Logan, choreography by Sonya Tayeh and music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Justin Levine.
Creatives include set designer Derek McLane, costume designer Catherine Zuber, lighting designer Justin Townsend, sound designer Peter Hylenski, hair and wig designer David Brian Brown and make-up designer Sarah Cimino. Casting is by Pippa Ailion CDG and Natalie Gallacher CDG.
