Presenting an original new work of musical theatre; Boom Town the Musical!
Join us for a concert preview at the theatre café ahead of our debut at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this August.
Boom Town is a new contemporary musical with a bluegrass twist! Set in the 1800’s gold mining town of Crimson, the story follows the daughter of the land owner, Beau Barton, as she prepares to prove herself to her father and hunt down the infamous outlaw. With a toe-tapping sound track of energetic and upbeat show tunes, this show also explores some deeper and more emotional themes; Can Beau take on the outlaw and save her town, find out what happens when the town goes boom!
Boom Town will be Millie Booth’s writing and directorial debut; after recently graduating from the University of Chichester, this up-and-coming new writer is eager to present her first original musical having written book, lyrics and music. The entire cast and creative team are current students and alumni from the University of Chichester and are thrilled to be taking the show to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with performances from the 22nd – 27th August.
The concert preview of Boom Town will be performed at the Theatre Cafe, St Martins Lane on the 9th of July with shows at 2.30pm and 8pm. No tickets required but any donations to our GoFundMe would be greatly appreciated. https://gofund.me/efceb958
